CPY provides safe, positive alternatives to gangs, drugs, and violence.

CPY provides a safe place where children discover new possibilities in life. The program offers after school tutorial and enrichment programs, as well as an all day intersession during the summer school break. Staff are encouraged to provide structure and build on each child's strengths.

CPY is committed to the well-being of every child in the program.

We are more than just a program, We are in a relationship with our children and are committed to their continued well-being. Personalized interaction serves as the backbone of CPY’s comprehensive academic program, where the emphasis is placed upon learning, not just getting assignments done.

By working daily with individual students in academic, social, and extracurricular settings, mentor/tutors come to understand the “whole child” and can structure their assistance according to the complete, often complex needs of the child.

Our vision is to provide enriched after school and intersession opportunities from elementary through high school years.

CPY provides opportunities for youth to enhance their self esteem.

CPY is a prevention program, Children learn by taking responsibility for their behaviors. Positive new options are offered through workshops, classroom instruction, creative projects, field trips, athletics, art academy and supportive relationships with caring adults.

CPY supports families in their struggle to raise a child.

CPY staff interact with parents on a daily basis and refer parents to support services throughout the community. CPY provides strong youth role models. middle school, high school, and college students develop leadership skills while gaining valuable work experience as they assist CPY staff and volunteers.
