In the middle school years, failure to complete school successfully correlates with nearly every kind of negative social outcome including: involvement in delinquent and criminal activity, suicide, unemployment, homelessness and poverty, substance abuse, earlier sexual activity, teen pregnancy, and single parenthood.

Patricia has been part of CPY’s middle school leadership program and is now in the high school leadership/job preparation program.

Patricia’s life has not always been easy. She’s resilient, knows who she is and where she is going.
